About Jim Jensen...
Hi. I am the owner and founder of Fit for life.

I specialize in functional fitness and balance training for adults with an emphasis on special populations. I have extensive hands-on experience working with seniors and those with physical challenges ranging from physical de-conditioning to multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease.

I am a certified personal trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and hold an Associate of Arts degree in Adapted Fitness. I also have an advanced certification with the NASM as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. In addition I hold certifications through the YMCA as a Personal Trainer and an Active Older Adult Exercise Instructor.

I keep up with the latest research and fitness information through classes, seminars and international fitness conferences taught by industry leaders. I am a member of IDEA, an International Professional Health & Fitness organization.

I am also a Co-Active Life Coach. I have completed 116 hours of extensive core training through the  Coaches Training Institute. This training has provided me with excellent tools to enable my clients to attain direction, balance and meaning in their lives.

Being a baby-boomer myself provides me with a unique vantage point of the challenges and benefits of achieving and maintaining fitness as a mature adult.  I walk the walk.

I have a strong personal spiritual practice based on meditation, positive affirmations and our universal inter-connectedness.

I'm personable, enthusiastic, energetic and truly care for my clients.
