Maren Sederquist’s Personal Training website. I’m proud to be a member of her fitness team. Maren is the best of the best when it comes to fitness trainers. She’s located in the San Jose area.

Stephanie Funk teaches 50+ pilates and has a fiercely loyal following. She’s an excellent instructor and a great friend.

This is an incredible site for SF Bay Area Hikers. A searchable database of all the great hiking trails. Want to find a 5 mile hike on the peninsula that features wildlife, wildflowers, and no horses or trailbikes? This is the site for you complete with maps, ratings, and photos. Excellent.

The best of the personal training certification organizations. I’ve been a certified member since 2005.

is the largest (and best) Association for health and fitness professionals. I’ve been a member since 2005.

CorePerformanceCore Performance by Mark Verstegen is one of my workout bibles, particularly for boomer fitness. I personally use several of his exercises for every one of my own personal workouts. Great exercises. Great book. 


YoungerNextYearYounger Next Year for men/women – co-written by one of the country’s most prominent internists, Dr. Henry “Harry” Lodge, and his star patient, the 73-year-old Chris Crowley. These are the books that show us how to turn back our biological clocks—how to put off 70% of the normal problems of aging (weakness, sore joints, bad balance) and eliminate 50% of serious illness and injury. I should pass these books out to potential clients. Excellent books.
